April is National Garden Month®!To celebrate all the ways plants enhance our lives, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Keep America Beautiful, and the National Gardening Association teamed up to present you with a month's worth of activities. Each activity includes background information for parents and educators, as well as a special project to share with children. If today’s schoolchildren are to become tomorrow’s environmental stewards, they need to spend more time outside learning and playing than they do today. We hope this calendar of activities inspires you, your students, and your children to participate in outdoor activities at your home and school, and share the joys of gardening with all those around you.
