Description:
Taxus wallichiana is a coniferous tree, found at elevations
above 2,500 meters. In recent years, the leaves have been exported from
Nepal primarily to India.
Medicinal value:
The fleshy fruits of Loth salla are edible. "Taxol," extracted from the
leaves and bark, is used to treat breast and uterine cancer.
Nursery practice:
Can be propagated in nursery through stem cuttings.
