Our Field Day

We conducted our field work in a glacial valley called Akilpo. We spent four hours identifying native plants. In just 30 minutes, we collected about 30 different utilitarian plants!!! Of these, 80% have medicinal value, 15% are edible, and 5% are used for natural dyes. Next week we will go to a new valley in the Huascarán National Park to complete our native plant research.
