for budding growers to identify 33 native wildflowers. One side provides
a picture to match with real flowers and the reverse side features
information on each flower, such as common and botanical name, life
cycle, and historic significance.

Wildflower ABC: An Alphabet of Potato Prints
by Diana Pomeroy
Beautiful potato prints of American wildflowers help the alphabet
bloom in this children's book, which also features a glossary of wildflower
facts and folklore.
(Although it is out of print, Wildflower Folklore by Laura
C. Martin is a wonderful resource book. It features information on
how flowers were named and stories about the uses early settlers and
native peoples had for different plants. Look for it in your local
library.)
