Environmental Education in the Garden

How do we motivate students to explore the outdoors and in doing so, develop a connection with the natural world? With a garden of course! Gardens are living laboratories, making them ideal, hands-on tools for teaching environmental education. These dynamic spaces engage students, fostering skills in and enthusiasm for observation, discovery, and experimentation. This month we share lesson ideas to demonstrate ways to use the garden in your environmental education curriculum.
